Mistake 1: Cloth isn't drum-tight

Cause: A cloth that sags or gives even slightly is behind more problems than any other single mistake. A loose cloth makes the gun skip, distorts your lines, and leaves the pile uneven because the needle can't punch cleanly through a moving surface.
